AIRPORT
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
Came into town much to my surprise didn’t think I’d be here for awhile.
Nothing’s really changed still feels like mine have I really moved down
the line?
I caught a cab out of the airport; I fell out of the friendly skies. The
road I took it led me nowhere that’s why I’m looking in your eyes.
Tales of the past, forgotten memories, buildings full of pristine
history. Darkness settles in to cloud the basic facts and scars that
have been placed upon my back.
I caught a cab out of the airport; I fell out of the friendly skies. The
back up plan I had was to abort when I saw the fire in your eyes.
Did you think you had to answer? Did you think you had to stay away? Do
you think that it gets easier today?
Should have took the time, could have undermined the plan you made
that’s stood the test of time. Still the water runs gleaming from the
sun carrying a part of everyone.
I caught a cab out of the airport; I fell out of the friendly skies. The
road I took it led me nowhere that’s why I’m looking in you eyes.
Did you think you had to answer? Did you think you had to stay away? Do
you think that it gets easier today

ALEXANDER
(Music by Ray Johnson
Lyrics by Tom Wade)
Listen to my song, it won’t take very long. Listen just as long as you
are able.
It’s about a man, who had a simple plan. He would send a message on a
cable.
Do you think he could imagine just how he’d change the world?
When he screamed out to his partner as the tragedy unfurled.
He said that I can hear you, and he knew he had prevailed.
And we take for granted just what he planted.
He came from Penmunde, schooled in Rocketry. He dreamt about the stars
And distant planets. Through theories and through math he would lay the
path,
The footprints still remain cause he was able.
Well the mighty rocket rumbled, as we all held our breath.
And we thought it must take courage for the men to play with death.
He stood there right beside us as the Eagle cleared the clouds,
And he knew it would come true. He wished he could go too.
Of Women and of Men the stories never end, of miracles of myth and
mystery.
Through fortitude and faith, they opened up such space.
Our future is an open history.
And if we stand together and we take what we have learned,
The thing that really matters is what we share not what we earn.
If we take the seed of Knowledge to the children of the world.
They will flower it because they can!

THE THINGS YOU DO
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
Let me get one thing straight before you leave. I shouldn’t feel like
you’ve just given up on me.
But I know what’s gonna happen next, something I’ll regret, guess I’ll
wait and see.
You said you'd be my friend one-day at a time. How come you never stop
to think about what is mine. But I know the demons in your head;
something must be said, to bring you back to me.
‘Cause that’s the way it should be.
You see that I’ve been true. I never expected anything from you.
Before you leave me behind. Think about the things you do.
Just started feeling that it all would work out. A little rough at times
didn’t figure all the doubt.
That you kept hidden like a sin, the walls come crashing in, like a
thief you flee.
And blame it all on me.
You see that I’ve been true. I never expected anything from you.
Before you leave me behind. Think about the things you do.
Before you leave me behind. Think about the things you do.
Just let me pick up all the pieces thrown about. There are some things
in life I couldn’t live
Without. Like my heart that’s been soaked in all this rain, it started
when you came, the sun
refused to shine and now you're not even mine.
You see that I’ve been true. I never expected anything from you.
Before you leave me behind. Think about the things you do. Think about
the things you do.

FOOLS IN LOVE
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
We didn’t even talk about the night before.
Didn’t even get the chance to put my feet upon your floor
There’s a rumor going 'round
From what I hear they say it’s being spread all over this town
When I look into your eyes sometimes I swear I see right through. Is
there a reason why you don’t cry the way you used to do? If I’m standing
in your way I guess it’s just the price we pay for being fools in love.
Never asked about the way you really felt.
Only thought about my heart upon that lonely lonely shelf.
You can’t say you didn’t see. All the jagged edges burying themselves
inside of me
When I look into your eyes sometimes I swear I see right through. Is
there a reason why you don’t cry the way you used to do? If I’m standing
in your way I guess it’s just the price we pay for being fools in love.
There ain’t no use in pretending or turn the other way every single day.
Better open up your eyes to the basic fact that love ain’t coming back.
We didn’t even talk about the night before.
Didn’t even get the chance to put my feet upon your floor
There’s a rumor going 'round
From what I hear they say it’s being spread all over this town
For being fools in love, for being fools in love, for being fools in
love.

LOVE STREET
(Music by Ray Johnson
Lyrics by Tom Wade)
What do you do when you just can’t seem to find love anymore? When those
funny little pains are eating at your core. Down in the city where the
young girls go. Between the tall buildings where the cold winds blows.
There’s a place that cures lonely souls down on Love Street.
You might find me knocking at love’s door (will you let me open up
love’s door), take me to the place I’ve known before (don’t want to be
alone forever), now I walk the streets at night, I’ve got love street in
my sights, walking on the lonely street of love.
High society runs too deep, into my heart the anguish creeps, maybe I
can get me some relief down on Love Street. Love streets not a place or
time, love streets more of a place of mind, it’s not a fantasy nor is it
a crime down on love street.
You might find me knocking at love’s door (will you let me open up
love’s door), take me to the place I’ve known before (don’t want to be
alone forever), now I walk the streets at night, I’ve got love street in
my sights, walking on the lonely street of love.
(Repeat Chorus)
Walking on the lonely street of love, walking on the lonely street of
love.

LULLABY
(Music by Ray Johnson
Lyrics by Tom Wade)
Here is my lullaby. Lay down and close your eyes. I’ll hold your hand
and try to make you feel safe inside. I’ll take you to the fair. Yes
I’ll take you anywhere. Oh I’ll hold your hand and we can enjoy the day
anyway. I know you get sad when I make her mad and you’re right. She
should be glad that you have me in your life, so much strife.
I see you smiling there. Butterflies in your hair. You make me so proud
I just shout outloud when you're here or you're there. I like it when we
laugh. Even in photographs. You just make me smile and I feel for a
while that you’re near, oh my dear. If you should want anything you just
ask. Believe me it’s an easy task. Your happiness means the world to me.
You make me smile and it’s easy to see.
You stand out among the rest. Can’t you tell I love you best?
So this is my lullaby. Lay down and close your eyes. I’ll hold your hand
and sing you a song that you like. Little tyke. This is my lullaby.
Honey a lullaby. You make everything so right. Close your eyes; close
your eyes goodnight.

DREAMER
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
You know you’re a dreamer from distant lands.
You know how it feels to have the rain.
Seems once never cuts it if it matters to you.
And with every repeat you’ll do things you never thought you’d do.
And then I look into your eyes, the things they say.
Like even when the sun won’t shine it will another day.
Get hung up on feelings that you don’t understand.
You try to believe that you see things.
You rattle your cages and bang on the wall.
And with every reason comes the risk of heading for a fall.
And then I look into your eyes, the things they say.
Like even when the sun won’t shine it will another day.
Even when I got it all, I got my back against the wall.
And maybe come a second time.
I’ll be the first in line.
So here’s your tomorrow and here’s your today.
No one’s gonna tell you of the price, the price that you must pay.
And then I look into your eyes, the things they say.
Like even when the sun won’t shine it will another day.
You know you’re a dreamer from distant lands.
You know how it feels to have the rain slipping through you hands.

THINK OF LOSING YOU
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
Gotta find a reason so you can take it back
Gotta find a reason so you can pick up the slack
Seems like that’s the only thing to do
Have a drink and think of losing you
Shouldn’t be here so messed up should be changing my ways
Stumbling towards ecstasy day after day
Suddenly your life stands before you
Have a drink and think of losing you
You know it happens time and time again
Waking up with your only friend
Half of what you know you can’t get through
Have a drink and think of losing you
Gotta find a reason so you can take it back
Gotta find a reason so you can pick up the slack
Seems like that’s the only thing to do
Have a drink and think of losing you
Have a drink and think, have a drink and think,
have a drink and think of losing you

YOU CAN'T COME IN
(Music by Ray Johnson
Lyrics by Tom Wade)
Well I remember those days when we were friends.
When we both said our love would never end.
But now you’re hanging round outside my door,
Telling everyone we never loved before, so you can’t come in,
No you can’t come in.
I can’t comprehend what goes through your mind,
Your eyes are open wide but you seem so blind.
And there you are again outside my door,
Telling every loving soul, no me no more.
So you can’t come in, no you can’t come in, Listen to me girl you
Can’t come in, no you can’t come in.
Well girl I never thought you’d turn away from me.
Was it something that I said or just our destiny.
And now you tell me girl that you’re back for more while saying
Something else right outside my door.
Well I remember those days when we were friends.
When we both said our love would never end.
But now you’re hanging round outside my door,
Telling everyone we never loved before, so you can’t come in,
No you can’t come in.

GONNA BE LEAVING
(Music & Lyrics by Ray Johnson)
She said she’s gonna be leaving here sometime after noon and if I never
do nothing more I’ll bring it back to you. Well I’ve been thinking about
this for way too long, in the middle of my mind I wrote this song, this
song.
